The Henry Hall "Say No To Drugs" Video, Essay, and Poster Contests

In memory of Henry Hall, the founder of NEFA, and his lifetime work, NEFA has initiated our Annual Video, Essay and Poster Contests for California youth between the ages of 10 through 14 in two categories, an individual, a recognized youth organization / educational group (i.e. School Class, Boy or Girl Club, Sport team, or Fine Arts group etc.) for the video contest only.

  • Poster age 10-12 years (individual) Deadline October 31, 2023
  • Essay age 12-14 years (individual) Deadline October 31, 2023
  • Video age 10-14 years (individual or recognized group)

These contests are offered throughout the State of California. The "Say No to Drugs" theme contests have an emphasis on the dangers of drug abuse. First place winner of each category will receive: $500.00 The judges will select one winner for each contest.

Video Contest

For California youths between the ages of 10 and 14

Two categories:
  • Individuals
  • Recognized Youth Organizations or Educational Groups
Winners of each category will receive $500

Essay Contest

For California youths between the ages of 12 and 14.

A panel of judges will select one winner from Northern and one winner from Southern California in November 2023.

Winners will receive $500

Poster Contest

For California youths between the ages of 10 and 12

A panel of judges will select one winner from Northern and one winner from Southern California in November 2023.
